Morgan County is your gateway to the eastern U.S.

Our crossroads will get you there fast

Morgan County, Indiana is at the center of the Crossroads of America, as Indiana is known. As part of the Indianapolis metropolitan area, Morgan County is within a single-day’s truck drive of more than 146 million consumers — and giving you access to a labor shed of more than 1.2 million workers within a 50-mile radius.

Location is only part of the story. An efficient network of Interstate highways is woven throughout central Indiana, providing fast connections between Morgan County and Interstates 465, 69, 70, 65, and 74. Those connections are enhanced with Interstate-grade divided State highways 37 and 67. That means your shipments will get where they’re going more quickly, whether it’s to one of Indiana’s auto plants or customers in places like Chicago, Detroit, Nashville, or Atlanta.

Morgan County is also minutes away from Indianapolis International Airport, one of the nation’s busiest air cargo locations. In addition to having the world’s second-largest FedEx hub, IND receives service from several global air cargo providers, including regular flights to and from Europe via Cargolux. The airport is also well-served by passenger airlines, with nonstops to most North American destinations and Paris.

Access to other forms of transportation is also excellent. Intermodal shippers are close to both the CSX Avon Yard and the Indiana Rail Road’s joint terminal with CN Rail near downtown Indianapolis, and the Indiana Southern Railroad provides responsive railcar service throughout the county. Companies that benefit from water transportation will appreciate our proximity to the Burns Harbor port on Lake Michigan, and Ohio River ports in Mount Vernon and Jeffersonville, Indiana.
